We will open the book. It’s pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called opportunity, and it’s first chapter is new years day. ~Edith Pierce
Well, another year is almost over. Doesn’t time fly by? Another birthday (for hubby at least- I am not having any more) 😛 Another anniversary. Another set of holidays. More memories made. More exploring completed.
For 2018, hubby and I are going to make some new things happen. I hate to call these things “goals” or “resolutions”, but I don’t know what else to call it other than “changes in our lives”.
We have had a recent big change (we call it a sincere blessing) in our lives, that will enable us to fast track forward with our planned future. We are both able to move 10 steps closer with our well studied plans, for solely working from home – here and abroad. I am already doing so, and hubby is now able to fast-forward his ability to do so as well.
After a lot of research, hubby recently invested in a major office set up that will enable him to more quickly and accurately achieve his personal goals. Once the new year hits us, I will be doing the same, by completely upgrading my work set up as well. These investments alone will make things so much easier.
Letting go of a steady paycheck is hands down the hardest part in making this double work-from-home decision. As soon as we have finalized our positions in life, I will be excited to share with you just how we did it- step by step, so that you can learn how as well!
I am beyond excited for our future now. This blessing has given us the freedom to do so many more things that we were only merely considering over the past few years.
Christmas is one of our favorite times of year. All of the twinkly lights and coziness of the season really get us in the mood. (ok me more than my hubby, but still.) 😛
The whole world is in front of you if you take time to research, plan and figure out exactly what you want for your future. Our decision to make these moves have not come lightly. We have debated over the tiniest of details. We have researched all of our options. We have discussed pros and cons of everything. We never stop learning about new ways to tackle challenges that may arise. -And we have been slowly making our plans for 10 years. So we are finally ready to take that leap of faith.
We both look forward to what 2018 has to offer. What has looked cloudy in the past now looks clear. And we are ready. 2018, here we come!!!
